I most definitely want to come this year and should be free. The only question is transportation... I live near Boston so a car pool would be nice... If not I need to think up something else.

I don't know how hot you would want the bronze stuff you guys are talking about but I would suggest looking up information on annealing.

Another place you could look that has allot of cool clasps and such is Rio grande. They are a jewelry supply company with almost anything you could ever want in the name of jewelry.

I don't think it would be able to get hot enough to melt the solder that I use for jewelry. The only use for that tool would be electronics.
