I think I understand what you are saying. S1 is 72° + additional 72° = 144°, which is equivalent to 144° - 180°, or -36°. Due to the 180° shift, you are doing the over/under.

It seems we must harmonise The technical names here.

Zlosk, you are the origin of the picture of 6 JPL7, right?

JPL3, just have Two chiralities.

JPL5, there’s Two chiralities, you use JPL5s ...

I'll disagree that there are only two JPL5s, and say there are 4. This is really just semantics, though. JPL5 ( or, if you prefer, JPL5S0) is the mirror of JPL5S3, and JPL5S1 is the mirror of JPL5S2. ...

The skip naming scheme came from Zlosk's image, I just went with it.

JPL7 has 6 versions, JPL7s1 and JPL7s6 are the standard ones, JPL7s2 and JPL7s5 are the Alternate ones, and JPL7s3 and JPL7s4 ar ...

EricN, what is meant by "size"? Is it the wire diameter?

"size" is a proxy for the inner diameter. I'm deliberately using "size" because "ID" or "id&quo ...

Wow, Facebook is getting crazier every day. It pushed https://ai.facebook.com/blog/pushing-state-of-the-art-in-3d-content-understanding/ to me last night, evidently expecting adversarial networks were ...

With these file formats, how much of the content is "served" to the browser? Is it fully downloaded and interpreted locally? Or read by the viewer "as needed"?

I can't speak for ...

I'm starting to look up info on some of the other online 3D formats, starting with X3D, the successor to VRML. After reading some of the tutorials, it sounds like interactive color changes, turning sh ...

I am a fan of using 3D models to understand weaves. However, a 1MB file size seems excessive.

I'm looking at weave VRML models I made in 2002 and uploaded to www.zlosk.com/~zlosk/maille/wrl/) in 20 ...

Every so often, I think about how I incorrectly named IGP, because it can't actually handle irregular grids like Penrose tiles, but instead just allows for non-rectangular shapes on a regular grid.

Though heraldry colors may be nice, I would be more concerned with choosing colors that have a large enough difference in brightness that even people with color blindness can follow the scheme.
