I haven't worked on my unfinished scale piece in forever, but this is how I was doing expansions on it. You can see it's 3 total: 1 followed by 2 more on the next row.

That's a nice looking piece, Femailler. I've seen a few braided/twisted pieces and this doesn't look overly heavy. (I guess 22G and 24G can't make anything look heavy...)
