Good info, thanks. I don't think this wire has been annealed, so would it be best to use my flex shaft by foot pedal at a slower speed rather than the automatic forward setting?

Silver plated wire is probably dead soft copper. Not a good wire for much besides pendants or earrings, basically nothing that will encounter other surfaces.
