Spiral Cage x3
Article © MAIL User: Firemedic

[editor note: this is based on the Spiral Cage weave.]

Even though this weave “Spiral Cage x3” isn't approved as an official weave, I have had several requests for info on it.

It wasn't approved because of “stability concerns”. That being said, when used as a “stand alone” chain, it doesn't remain neat and clean looking.
But, when used in conjunction with other weaves it can flow very well.

So, here is a tutorial:

You need 3 closed rings for every 1 open. (+3 closed when you start.)

Start by placing 6 closed rings on a single open ring.

Take an open ring. Add a closed ring.
Next go through closed ring 1. Skip 2 add a closed ring. Go through ring 3. Skip 4 add a closed ring. Go through ring 5.
Close the open ring.

Repeat these steps for desired length.
