Expanding Circle
(Increasing Ring IDs)
Article © MAIL User: Aderamelech

This is another way to construct a circle, in this case without using any expansions. Make the inner row with the smallest rings you can for the material/project. Make this strip between 3-5 rings thick, possibly more depending on how flexable the weave you are using is. Then for the next few rows switch to a ring size that is slightly larger. And then slightly larger. And so on. You may find you need to increase the gauge as you go, since some ring sizes may not be strong enough in the gauge you begin with. The exact gauges and ring sizes you use will vary, so it may take some experimentation to figure out what works.
