In order for spiral to keep it's helix look, there must be a constant tension at each end on the chain. There is a left, and right hand version to this weave. (this being the Right hand version)

The White rings are the newly added rings, The orange rings are ring(s) in which the New ring passes through. The Green rings are rings already added to the chain.

Step 1: Close one ring.

Step 2: Put another ring through this closed one, and close it as well.

Step 3: Pass another ring through the previous 2, and close it.

Step 4: Pass another ring through the last 2 rings, and close it.

Step 5: Pass another ring through the last 2 rings, and close it.

Step 6: Continue passing the new ring through the last 2 rings of the chain..
